The Fletcher Family’s commitment to the Jonesville area began in the 1930’s when George Washington Fletcher bought his first piece of real estate in what was then, Newberry but is better known today as Jonesville. Since then his son George E. “Cotton” Fletcher has continued to help the area grow from what was once predominantly farming into one of Gainesville’s most desirable areas.
